Meet The Team
Therapist
Martha S. Cotton, PT, DPT, PCES
Meet Martha, an experienced professional in the field of physical therapy. Martha earned her Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Biology from Rutgers before pursuing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Long Island University, graduating in 2014. Her expertise lies in movement analysis, manual therapy, injury prevention, and health promotion.
Martha's extensive hands-on experience spans across orthopedic and neurological conditions in both adults and children. She believes in a practical approach to treatment, combining manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education to achieve optimal results and patient satisfaction.
After becoming a mother, Martha recognized the significance of pelvic floor therapy and identified a gap in available services. To address this, she pursued extensive training through the Herman and Wallace Institute, completing their pelvic floor series. Additionally, Martha obtained certification as a pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercise specialist, demonstrating her dedication to supporting women throughout all phases of their health journey.
Outside of her practice, Martha is a passionate advocate for an active lifestyle. Whether she's running, rock climbing, playing tennis, or enjoying soccer, she leads by example. In her free time, Martha enjoys cooking delicious meals and cherishing quality moments with her husband, two children, and spirited Siberian Husky.
Martha goes beyond the role of an ordinary physical therapist – she's your partner in achieving a healthier, more active life. Ready to improve your movement, well-being, and overall quality of life?
